The Spa at Mandarin Oriental

Review by Spa & Wellness MexiCaribe

The tranquility of The Spa at Mandarin Oriental offers a welcome retreat from the chaotic Las Vegas strip below. As one of only 20 spas in the world with the prestigious Forbes five-star award, you can expect complete luxury and attention to every detail throughout the experience.

Shoes are replaced with spa sandals at the welcoming reception area and from here the world behind is forgotten and pure relaxation ensues.

The stylish 1930’s Shanghai décor combines dark wood, and rich fabrics in the relaxation area contrasting perfectly with the cool metals and grey slate of the hydrotherapy area. An expansive vitality pool, steam room, ice fountain, laconium and experience showers can all be enjoyed prior to any spa service.

The Signature Mahjong Balance Journey is inspired by the ancient Chinese game which incorporates small handcrafted tiles traditionally made of bone or ivory with bamboo. The journey commences with a ginger, jasmine and green tea foot ritual to set the scene for relaxation. An exfoliation and therapeutic massage follows encorporating warm jade stones to align the energy centers of the body. The experience concludes with an Oriental head massage and cool Mahjong tiles strategically placed to create a sense of equilibrium.

With an array of carefully coordinated spa journeys and treatments on offer, and every detail from start to finish taken care of, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental upholds its philosophy of “an understanding and passion for wellness, defined as a way of life that focuses on physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.”
