Review by Spa & Wellness MexiCaribe
Situated on the well-known Paseo de los Tamarindos, in the fashionable neighborhood of Los Bosques de las Lomas, sits the Live Aqua Urban Resort México. This trendy, innovative hotel creates a welcoming and relaxing ambience from the moment you enter the lobby. With eclectic décor, plush seating areas and soft but upbeat melodies playing in the background, Live Aqua sets the scene for either business or leisure travel.
The 112 guest rooms and 23 suites are all equipped with wellness amenities such as electric aromatherapy diffusers with built in chromotherapy and 3 therapeutic aromas to choose from, a mini Zen-garden to rake away your worries, zen lighting at the touch of a button, pillow selection for the perfect night’s sleep and many healthy options on the menu.
Feel Urban Day Spa provides a sanctuary of relaxation and revival in the city. The spa features sauna, steam room and ice station separately in the male and female areas, and a mixed-use hydrotherapy area with experience showers, warm hydrotherapy pool with pressure jets, chromotherapy showers and a hot Jacuzzi. The beautifully designed hydrotherapy area is equipped with heated loungers – perfect to relax on while appreciating the ‘starlit sky’ lighting effect overhead.
Offering an array of treatments such as Vinotherapy, Traditional Mayan Healing rituals, Ayurvedic Shirodhara, and a range of massages and facial treatments; there is something for everyone to choose. My signature Vinotherapy Massage started with a choice of oils, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay or Malbec; my selection of Malbec was perfect and the expert therapist worked tirelessly on my muscle tension for a luxurious 80 minutes. A Caviar Facial followed the massage, after which my skin looked and felt hydrated and rejuvenated.
Neutral colors and natural materials such as wood and stone are used throughout the spa, creating a grounding and calming ambience. With a philosophy of ‘Renew the Senses’, Feel Urban Day Spa certainly delivered on that intention.
