Sensations Spa features a hydrotherapy circuit shared by males and females, including a sauna, eucalyptus steam room, bucket and rain showers, and a sensorial pool with water cascades and jets for the legs, back, and neck to relieve tension and stimulate circulation.
The spa draws inspiration from the rich traditions of the region to create a holistic wellness experience. Its signature treatment, the Huichol Massage, is inspired by the four elements of creation according to the beliefs of the indigenous Wixarika people. This unique ritual combines deep tissue massage, warm volcanic stones, stretches using a rebozo – a traditional Mexican shawl – and a distinctive peyote massage oil to promote circulation and deep relaxation. Another highlight of Sensations Spa is the cornflower body exfoliation and mask. The ritual begins with a gentle exfoliation and is followed by a cornflower mask. The mask is rinsed off, and the ritual concludes with a hydrating cream applied with a relaxing, light-pressure massage.
Beyond the spa, the resort offers wellness-focused activities, including yoga and Pilates classes, as well as hiking excursions to the Cerro del Mono, a nearby hiking trail, allowing guests to connect with nature while enjoying the stunning coastal landscape. All the resort’s facilities are free from single-use plastics, and purified water fountains are available throughout the property for refilling the crystal water bottles provided in each room, reflecting Iberostar’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment.
