The Grand Sirenis Resort, located on the Riviera Maya coastline of Mexico, is home to an expansive 30,138 ft2 (2,800 m2) spa and wellness facility. Spa Grand Sirenis boasts impressive hydrotherapy facilities with an array of pools offering a variety of different experiences, from water jets to massage the shoulders and back to underwater jets for the legs and feet and seated alcoves with jacuzzi-style bubbles in addition to bubble beds. Walk through a grotto of thermal experiences, including two saunas at different heat intensities and three steam rooms fragranced with different aromas such as eucalyptus, passionfruit and orange. Enjoy a variety of showers and an ice fountain to refresh in between heat experiences and stimulate the soles of the feet by walking through the pediluvium with smooth river stones through alternating warm and cool water sprays.
The refreshing cold plunge pool with constant water movement provides an intense way to cool down quickly, contrasted with the warm jacuzzis on each side or the tiled thermal lounge chairs infusing heat to relax the muscles. Spend up to two hours enjoying the water circuit before any spa treatment and enjoy tea, flavored waters or other refreshments from the café bar.
The ‘Fire – Energizing Element’ couples ritual commences with time in the private steam room inside the spacious couples’ treatment suite, before a full body exfoliation with bamboo extract and jojoba beads and then a shared hydromassage bath experience with lavender and rosemary salts. Continue with a cacao body wrap and massage to relieve tension and relax the body. An array of massages, body treatments and facials are also available, including the Deluxe Black Diamond Facial, an energizing facial to revitalize the skin, leaving it moisturized and glowing.
A more traditional experience is the Temazcal, a Mayan ritual of rebirth inside a domed structure utilizing steam and medicinal plants during a ceremony led by a Shaman indigenous to the region. This intense heat experience purifies and cleanses the body, inviting guests to release emotions, express gratitude to Mother Earth and honor our ancestors.
Around the resort, guests can walk the many ‘senderos’, trails through the jungle foliage to observe the immense variety of flora and fauna in the region. Guests can also visit the fitness center to exercise and take part in a variety of outdoor activities such as archery and air rifle shooting in addition to water activities such as snorkeling, diving and fishing.
