The Spa at Séc-he is situated in downtown Palm Springs, on land the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians settled on thousands of years ago. The spa was built around the hot mineral spring that brought the tribe here; the name Séc-he is the Cahuilla word for ‘the sound of boiling water’, and the spa retains that heritage at every turn: symbolism is worked into the walls, decor, and the layout of the rooms. These waters made Palm Springs a place of healing long before it became a resort town.
The spa journey begins at the source. Guests soak in the hot mineral waters, where private baths draw the water straight from the ground. This ancient water reaches the surface for the first time in twelve thousand years, rising from roughly eight thousand feet (2,400 meters) down and gathering calcium, magnesium, and sodium along the way. The minerals are absorbed through the skin during a fifteen-minute soak, easing tired muscles, calming the skin, supporting circulation, and preparing the body for treatments to come.
The complete hydrotherapy circuit incorporates a hot sauna, a eucalyptus-scented steam room, cold plunges kept at different temperatures, a cryotherapy chamber, experience showers, and salt-inhalation rooms with a quiet lounge of their own. Outdoor thermal mineral swimming pools and waterfalls provide the perfect setting to 
spend the day relaxing. Guests can wander between the extensive facilities at their own pace. The sensory-deprivation flotation tanks hold a dense solution of Epsom salt that lifts the body weightlessly while light, sound, and gravity are removed, letting the nervous system reset while magnesium is absorbed into the skin and the spine decompresses.
Bathed in natural light beneath the glass-paneled ceiling, the pre-treatment lounge immerses guests in nature with palm trees, a tranquil stream, and the sound of birdsong, shown to reduce stress and invoke a sense of calm. Here, a beautiful statue of The Cahuilla Maiden, dedicated in 1998, stands alongside a plaque regaling the legend of how she fell into the hot water and her father, a Medicine Man, reached the spirits below to bring her back to the surface.
Treatments at Séc-he pair ancient wisdom with modern, clinical technology, with state-of-the-art treatment beds for utmost comfort. The cryo facial alternates cold 
and thermal heat to stimulate the skin, building collagen and elastin and leaving the complexion firmer and brighter.
