To celebrate the start of National Wellness Month, Live Love Spa hosted its annual Trends Event in Los Angeles, bringing together spa and wellness professionals, media, influencers, and leading brands to explore the latest innovations shaping the industry. Throughout the day, attendees experienced educational panels, immersive wellness activations, skincare masterclasses, fitness sessions, meditation, sound healing, and cutting-edge wellness technology while discovering new products and solutions designed to support holistic well-being. Among the event’s highlights were insightful panel discussions exploring the future of the spa industry.

Women’s Health & Wellness Across Life Stages
Christine Clinton, Wellness for Life
Women are looking for balance with all of their responsibilities, and have often turned to alcohol to relax. Alcohol has been shown to be related to many health conditions and types of cancer. She also highlighted the role spas can play in supporting women and families through different life stages. She explained that couples undergoing IVF often
lose intimacy due to the structured nature of treatment, while spa experiences such as massages, saunas and relaxation therapies can help restore connection and reduce stress. Christine emphasized the importance of making wellness more accessible to teenagers, suggesting touchless therapies, red light therapy, vibration therapy and other age-appropriate treatments as valuable tools to support mental well-being.
Sarah Siegel-Kolodziejski, Clarity
Sarah works with her clients on reprogramming and redefining their relationship with alcohol as more and more people today embrace a life without alcohol.
Kris Astroff, Nerdium
Kris shared that the exposure to information about perimenopause and menopause means that the younger generation will move into this life stage with more awareness and better knowledge to navigate this transition. In perimenopause, women can lose 30% of their collagen in a five-year span; having a plan to counteract that and minimize the detrimental effects can help women through this stage.
Angela Kies, Murrieta Hot Springs
Angela explains how asking the right questions about women’s wellness experiences helps them feel empowered to make the best decisions for their well-being. When people intentionally move through different temperatures at a spa, they are practicing how to respond to different circumstances. Getting into cold water improves stress resilience.

The Future of Sustainability in the Spa Industry
Jennifer Holzworth, Montage
Jennifer spoke about the water consumption and the challenge of creating unique experiences while also minimizing the waste of resources. She suggests finding the people on your team who are passionate about sustainability and engaging them to lead the narrative.
Daniel Spencer, Spa Sec-he
Daniel highlighted powerful images that have shaped global conversations around sustainability, such as the widely recognized image of a turtle affected by plastic straws, demonstrating how visual storytelling can influence behavior almost overnight. He explained that the way sustainability messages are communicated can have a significant impact on driving change.
Within luxury hospitality, this means guiding guests by reshaping the narrative around sustainability and making conscious choices part of the overall experience.
Kate Morrison, Ojai Valley Inn
Kate highlights that data and metrics can drive innovation by tracking how many plastic items are used or saved, and by communicating the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives with your audience.
