In an industry where, for years, aesthetics was associated solely with superficial appearance, Yvette Pons has built a career that defies any reductionist view of the profession. Born in Igualada, a city near Barcelona, she graduated from the Instituto Saurina in 1992 and understood from a very young age that the skin, face, and body could not be analyzed in isolation, but rather as part of a deeply interconnected system.
In 1996, she founded Institut Yvette Pons in her hometown, embarking on a professional journey marked by constant observation, research, and a desire to elevate aesthetics to a deeper, more rigorous, and more mindful dimension. While much of the industry focused its discourse on standardized protocols and cosmetics, Yvette began exploring uncharted territory, integrating knowledge related to posture, the nervous system, muscle tension, inflammation, and facial aging.
Her disruptive approach has made her one of the most recognized voices in the professional aesthetics sector. She serves on the scientific committee of the Estética Mundial conference, held for the past ten years in Córdoba, Argentina, and regularly appears in print, podcasts, radio, television, and specialized media, where her ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and her credibility have established her as a thought leader.
In 2019, she began to put all her knowledge into a structured method, leading to the creation of her training program, ‘Yvette Pons Training’, and, later, the knowledge platform Mastelier® – The Art of Learning. She is also the creator of proprietary methods such as Sulyfth® and Rostrolog-YP®, designed to offer a more in-depth approach to the face through advanced aesthetics.
Recently recognized as Spain’s best aesthetics professional of the year, Yvette also embodies a deeply inspiring idea: the professional potential of an aesthetician can be limitless. “The key lies in understanding what is unseen,” she affirms, convinced that specialization, focus, and a vision for the future are the true path to transforming a profession into a discipline with enormous human, scientific, and professional impact.
Rather than settling for repeating tried-and-tested formulas, she continues to conduct research with professionals from different countries. Her story demonstrates that aesthetics need not be limited to fleeting trends or superficial treatments. It can become a space for analysis, understanding, and transformation. For many professionals, her career path sends a clear message: it’s not the starting point that matters, but the determination to keep learning and develop one’s own perspective within the industry.
