Puerto Vallarta, land of sun, sea, sand and traditions, presents a spa with nuances of Jalisco. Where ingredients and rituals are created from the iconic plant recognized worldwide, which is also used to make Mexico’s famous tequila drink: the agave.
Maiavé Spa takes inspiration from Mayahuel, the beautiful Aztec goddess who, in her transformation, chose the fertile soil of Jalisco as her home. On the night of a full moon she became a majestic agave and provided for her beloved people, food, drink and shade.
Maiavé Spa spans 5000 m2; eight cabins, a 150 m2 Jacuzzi and a pool for janzu therapy. The hydrotherapy circuit is called ‘Espiritús del Agua’ or ‘Spirits of Water’.
Spa treatments are authentic and ancestral, inspired by the four elements to create five collections: water, air, fire, earth and vital space. In their earth collection, the rituals use different types of agave from the region, such as sereque, angustifolia, rootlets and blue agave.
Enjoy janzu therapy and let yourself be carried by the therapists hands through the water, symbolic of a mother’s womb, generating a deep meditative state of relaxation.
The decor of Maiavé Spa includes modern touches while preserving its Mexican identity, with furniture and luxury crafts integrated throughout.
