A more traditional experience is the Temazcal, a Mayan ritual of rebirth inside a domed structure utilizing steam and medicinal plants during a ceremony led by a Shaman indigenous to the region. Around the resort, guests can walk the many ‘senderos’, trails through the jungle foliage to observe the immense variety of flora and fauna in the region.
