Spa Experience: Apuane Spa at Four Seasons Punta Mita Nayarit, México

The Four Seasons Punta Mita resort, located on the southwest Mexican Pacific coast, offers guests spectacular views of the ocean and unique sunsets, in its facilities inspired by Mexican culture and traditions.

The resort has a varied gastronomic offering; combine traditional Mexican cuisine with the catch of the day; or enjoy the creations of chef Eduardo Zorrilla at Bahia. You can also experience a Mexican spirits tasting of agave-based drinks at the Dos Catrinas bar while learning their history and methods of production.

The facilities of Apuane Spa have a luxurious and warm design, continuing the theme throughout the resort. Its facilities include a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and a cold plunge pool, for use before enjoying the relaxation areas.

One of Apuane Spa’s distinctive experiences is Naikeri, a ritual focused on reconnecting with oneself and the surroundings. This ritual begins with a foot wash followed by purification and cleansing with copal, while the therapist recites mantras that help you connect with your surroundings and emotions. After this, enjoy the Punta Mita massage with a touch of Tequila, sage oil and hot stones, perfect for relieving muscle tension.

Experience the mud ritual with the resort’s shaman: this starts with a purification of the soul and spirit using copal and palo santo to balance the feminine and masculine energies before the shaman completes an aura reading. Apply a mixture of volcanic mud with seawater and lay on the sand while enjoying a guided meditation. After this, wash off in the ocean and apply a new mixture of green clay with essential oils, infusing the skin with vitamins.

The wellness offering at Four Seasons Punta Mita is wide; activities include AquaForza classes in the resort’s main pool, and Yin Yang Yoga – a mixture of yoga, Chi Kung and Tai Chi, at ‘The Rock’ facing the sea.
