The ISPA live and silent auction this year raised over 140 thousand dollars for the foundation, to fund future research in the industry. The ISPA innovateAward winners were then presented with their plaques and invited up to the stage.
Daymond John, of Shark Tank, spoke about the practices of successful people, how they adjust their morning to encompass what they want to focus on, not what’s in their inbox, which tends to be filled with problems. Daymond spoke of his entrepreneurial spirit as a child and the difficulties his family faced at that time. Money is not success, so what is? Success comes from dedication to passions; family, hobbies, music, sports, etc. Taking inventory of yourself and your business allows you to identify what you can do well and what direction you want to take your business in.
Focus on delivering love. To your family, friends, guests etc. Having overcome cancer he focused on how far he had come and all that he had to live for, specifically his love for his daughters.
