Masiel: What kind of events help to make the spa more popular?
Adriana Azuara, CEO, All4Spas
Adriana:
The first objective is to have your staff trained to do spa tours, which is always an event. Walk with pride through your spa on a daily basis; ideally ensuring that it is in peak condition and that all five senses are awakened.
Organizing open house events where new treatments are launched providing guests the opportunity to see results, provide samples as gifts and serving a light buffet. Invite guests to schedule spa services and take advantage of the promotions offered.
Open meditation classes held at the spa or ceremonial rituals celebrating a full moon, new moon or solstice encourage clients to visit the spa, getting to know the facilities and menu of treatments.
Offering self-massage classes for hands and feet or partner massage classes is a fun way of drawing guests to the spa in addition to promoting the spa experiences.
It is important to be part of the community in your local area, support a local charity and donate spa treatments to raise awareness and show your support. Those attending the event or supporting the cause will be introduced to your spa.
There are many and varied ways to promote the spa. Partner with your suppliers and together, look for ideas and opportunities in your area targeting your ideal clientele. Opportunities are plentiful.
