Entrepreneur and philanthropist Gina Diez Barroso will offer a keynote speech about amplifying women and the importance of female leadership at this year’s HEALING SUMMIT, set to take place from 3-4 September at the Pine Cliffs Resort in Portugal. Diez Barroso is Founder and President of Grupo Diarq, one of the top international design, architecture and real estate development companies in Mexico, and is also the Founder of Centro University, a leading university in Mexico focused exclusively on creative studies, with a strong emphasis on business and entrepreneurship.
Twenty-eight years ago, her commitment to philanthropy inspired her to start the Diarq Foundation, which is dedicated to eradicating domestic violence and bullying in schools. Additionally, she is Founder and President of Dalia Empower, a lifelong learning project dedicated to supporting women in reaching personal and professional goals, which also works with women and children who find themselves in domestic violence situations,
giving them medical and psychological attention as well as the educational, legal and social tools they need to regain control of their lives. Diez Barroso also represents Mexico at the W20, the women’s initiative of the G20.
“We live in a changing, fast-paced, and challenging world that, more than ever, requires that we form a network of individuals with empathy and kindness, that embraces differences to help humans, reach their full potential, and feel confident to harness their power for good causes and to make the world a better and more diverse, and inclusive place for all to live in. To achieve the foregoing, it is essential that we work on healing ourselves and others, on being kind, happy and healthy individuals, on sharpening our soft skills, and, most important, achieving physical, mental, and emotional balance and well-being”, says Gina Diez Barroso.
“Gina has devoted her life to support and amplify female leadership in a traditionally male-dominated industry, and I know our attendees will be inspired and uplifted by her story,” says Anne Biging, Co-Founder of the HEALING SUMMIT. “She is not only an incredibly successful businesswoman, but she has also dedicated herself to helping others, working to give women the ingredients they need for a successful life.
With our theme at this year’s Summit of ‘The Healing of Everything,’ Gina will show us how her actions have helped to heal the world, and how we might learn from her.”
The HEALING SUMMIT provides a space where individuals and businesses meet to debate, discuss and learn, with the aim of creating a global community of influencers who commit to doing good. Additional keynote speakers at this year’s event include Mahesh Natarajan, COO of Ananda in the Himalayas; Karin Bleecker, Program Director of New Life Portugal; and a wide range of healers and coaches from around the world, including Vanessa Paige from South Africa, David Behrens from the UK, Coco Swanson from the US, and Velleda Dobrowolny from Italy.
